We would like to share with some news from our student chapter at
Mesa State College in Grand Junction:
Please join me in congratulating our Mesa State College Association
of Information Technology Professionals National Collegiate
Conference Team:
Lee Baker, Telicia Chaffin. Brandon Gillespie, Cody Hansen,
Jarrod Harper, Bill Jackson, Kevin Kempton, Chuck
Smith
They represented our college extremely well both professionally and
academically during the conference.
These team members competed against teams from institutions such as
UT Austin, The Texas State University, Purdue University, Widener
University and others. Some of the competitions involved months of
work and multiple stages which were judged between each stage (e.g.
web site design for a non-profit organization).
Of particular note were the following:
Mr. Charles Smith - top ten in undergraduate paper and presentation
Ms. Telicia Chaffin - third place in undergraduate paper and
presentation
Mr. Bill Jackson and Mr. Jarrod Harper - first place in web site
design
The Whole Team - first place in the banner competition
I have attached a picture of the team and the banner. When you see
these students, please thank them for representing Mesa State
College in a positive light and working hard in their academic
pursuits. Give them a "high-five" (they like that).
More information on the association and the conference can be found

Thanks! Johnny.
